Client DMM-CS-101 of Dominion Medical Management, Inc. is a radiology group located in a major metropolitan city in the upper Midwest. The group serves several metro area hospitals, and is involved in an imaging center. Prior to working with Dominion, the group identified several areas of concern including possible lost charges, insufficient net collections, compliance concerns, and a lack of reporting and benchmark analysis. Working closely with the group executive director and several key group physicians, Dominion developed a detailed budget for the group and benchmarks to work from month-to-month. The group has seen improvements in all areas of concern, including an improvement to cash collected of approximately 5%. This represents added cash to the group of over $1.2 million.

Case Study #2:

Client DMM-CS-102 of Dominion Medical Management, Inc. (DMM-CS-02) is a 5-FTE radiology group serving 13 separate sites over 200 square miles in the upper Midwest. Prior to working with Dominion, the group used a local billing firm with no EDI capability – all claim processing and follow-up was done manually. Both denial resolution and charge capture shortfalls were known to exist, but were not quantifiable by source or location. With Dominion, interfaces were written to local HIS/RIS systems in order to capture demographics, reports, logs and charges electronically, leading directly to improved, quantifiable, performance. Financial performance with Dominion has improved significantly over the prior biller. Cash collections have improved by nearly 10% - an impact to the group of over $300,000 per year.
