Our total investment in our technology has exceeded $1million per year for the past seven years. In addition, we fine tune our PRISM billing system every month to ensure that Dominion Medical consistently provides 99% resolution of all charges where other competitors struggle to provide only 90%.

At the heart of the PRISM software is the Coverage Knowledge Center which is updated monthly with government and health plan reimbursement modifications on a national, state and local basis. Every line item submitted for reimbursement is electronically checked to ensure the highest levels of reimbursement. Not satisfied with the industry’s best resolution levels, Dominion even captures patient visits and procedures that fall through the cracks for other systems. In fact, 3% to 10% of patient visits typically go unprocessed in most practices.

The technology investments extend beyond the software itself. We use computer telephony and automated outbound calling on patient balances, early collection calls and automated credentialing and enrollment for physicians. Additionally, our system is fully integrated with industry-leading NLP-based coding tools to provide the highest possible level of coding assistance, training and auditing for our pool of Certified Professional Coders.
